Minister Yván Gil: Venezuela is preparing for the possible effects of the Super Child climate phenomenon

The Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology, Yván Gil, asserted that Venezuela is preparing for the possible effects of the climate phenomenon known as Super Child, which is expected to impact in 2026 and part of 2027.

Through his Telegram account, Gil said that the natural phenomenon will cause droughts and water stress in some areas of the national territory, as well as heavy rains in others.

“With a focus on science and prevention, our specialists at the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (IVIC) are identifying actions to mitigate their effects,” Gil said.

He also stated that they join the call of the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, for the Energy Savings Plan, promoting the efficient use of resources to guarantee the well-being of the Venetian people.
