Ministrio Padrino unveils monument in honor of the bicentenary of the delivery of Peru's sword to El Libertador

The Sectorial Vice President of Defense and Sovereignty, Vladimir Padrino López, inaugurated the monument in honor of the Bicentenary of the Handing over of the Sword of Peru to El Libertador Simón Bolívar.

He stressed that this monument represents a historical value for the peoples of the continent.

The holder of the defense portfolio recalled part of Venezuela's independence history, carried out by the hand of El Libertado Simón Bolívar, a struggle that has lasted over time.

In addition, he compared the imperialism of that time with that of the United States. Now the United States intends to colonize the country as other nations did more than 200 years ago.
