A total of 574 tons of usable, non-hazardous and unauthorized materials were seized during 137 environmental inspections carried out by the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism (MINEC) in conjunction with the Environmental Nursery and the Bolivarian National Police (PNB).

The result of the operation was the retention of 490 tons of plastic, 80 tons of paper and four tons of tires out of use, in addition to the preventive stoppage of the activities of eight centers for the collection, transport, recovery, storage and collection of these materials, according to a note published on the MINEC website.
