Ministry of Commerce seeks to strengthen the pharmaceutical sector with domestic production

‎El Minister of Industry and National Trade, Luis Antonio Villegas, led a working group with the main representatives of the Venezuelan pharmaceutical sector.

‎Villegas emphasized that the growth of the sector not only implies an economic benefit for the companies involved, but also represents a fundamental pillar for the country's social security.

These working groups made it possible to define a clear road map to enhance the export capacity of non-oil products. In this way, Venezuela seeks to position itself as a reliable supplier of medicines in the region, taking advantage of its geographical location and technical capacity,” reported the newspaper Úlmas Noticias.
