Ministry of Ecosocialism sanctioned 16 companies for non-compliance with environmental regulations

As part of environmental inspection operations at the national level, the Ministry of People's Power for Ecosocialism has paralyzed 16 companies for non-compliance with air emissions, water pollution and inadequate management of hazardous waste.
The inspections involved 113 establishments, including car washes, oil and filter change centers, animal food processing companies, plastic factories, and chemical and detergent manufacturing companies.
259 officials from various institutions participated in the operation: the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, the Bolivarian National Guard, the Bolivarian National Police, the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Institute of National Parks, together with spokespersons from the Ecosocialist Councils.
During the operations, 113 technical reports were prepared, 14 administrative fines were issued and 76 citations were issued to companies that violated environmental regulations. Materials and equipment that compromise ecological balance were also seized.
