The Ministry of Popular Power of National Commerce held the first joint assembly for the installation of the Bodega Plan in Trujillo.

Minister Luis Antonio Villegas led the meeting where producers from the region participated in order to articulate efforts and refine the strategic map for the implementation of the Hugo Chávez Great Equality and Social Justice Mission Winery Plan.

Villegas noted that Trujillo is the 12th entity that will be served through this plan following the instructions of President Nicolás Maduro to extend it to the entire Venezuelan territory.

“This plan has an impact on ordinary people who have savings of up to 40 and 60 percent, by the way, because the product comes directly from the producer to the winemaker. We are going to start with this first phase of 100 wineries that we are going to serve in the territory. And those wineries, when they comply with their payment phases, will be able to finance 100 more wineries, which will expand this plan in the state of Trujillo,” he said in a regional press release.

Namely, wineries will receive funding through CREDIVIDA and public banks to promote popular supplies .
