The Ministry of Popular Power for Sports will teach, in person and virtually, the First Course on “Sports Psychology”, which will be held on April 9 and 10
The course will be run by the Deputy Ministry for Training and Innovation in Physical Activity and Sport and will be taught free of charge, with the purpose of providing basic tools to athletes and coaches to improve performance and mental health.
The training will have a total of 24 academic hours, under a face-to-face and virtual work scheme, where the face-to-face phase will take place on April 9 and 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., on the terrace of the “Hugo Chávez Frías” residences of the National Sports Institute (IND).
In the same way, it aims to provide techniques for controlling anxiety, increasing confidence, concentration, managing pressure, among others, according to the Ministry of Sports press.
The academic agenda addresses fundamental content for sports development, starting from psychological priority to the analysis of various mental processes.
In addition, self-confidence, assertive communication and teamwork will be deepened.
On the other hand, the program incorporates modules that highlight psychological first aid, injury psychology and sports retirement, thus ensuring a comprehensive vision that accompanies the athlete at all stages of their career.
This training is a fundamental tool for those who seek to design complex training systems and optimize their athletes' peak competitively.
Registrations remain open through the digital platform of the Vice-Ministry of Training and Innovation.
