Miranda Government will activate environmental awareness plan this Wednesday

Volunteers will be deployed from this Wednesday, April 01 to Sunday, April 05, on beaches, spas, rivers, and in religious temples

During the Easter Week Operation 2026, the Ministry of Environment of the Government of Miranda activated the Give the Queue to the Garbage plan, which seeks to make seasonal workers aware, on the holidays of the Major Week, to keep the tourist and religious destinations of the Mirandina entity preserved and clean.

In a review on the website of this government body, the holder of the Ambiente Mirandino portfolio, Joswell Rodríguez, who indicated that, for this purpose, volunteer groups will be deployed from this Wednesday, April 1st, to Sunday 5th, on beaches, spas, rivers, as well as in sanctuaries and religious temples to deliver awareness flyers, as well as plastic bags for the collection of solid waste in these spaces.

Miranda is a favorite destination for tourist and religious activities during Holy Week. In addition to implementing the Give a Cola to the Garbage plan, we have been developing a day to raise awareness among our tourists for the protection of our natural monuments and tourist areas,” he explained.

Rodríguez also indicated that, together with the Ministry of Tourism, they will be deployed at the entity's six main religious sites to deliver awareness-raising material that seeks the preservation of the Mirandino natural ecosystem.

“Following instructions from Governor Elio Serrano, regarding the strengthening of environmental education, we will carry out these actions this Holy Week, which are of great importance for the benefit of all, because when the environment is preserved, we all benefit from cleaner air, water, natural spaces and streets, which have an impact on better health and quality of life,” he said.
