The candidate for governor of the state Miranda, for the Great Patriotic Pole Simon Bolivar (PSUV), Elio Serrano, during the closing of the campaign, asserted that the Bolivarian Government eradicated fascist violence of the extreme right and won peace.

“You remember the situations of violence to which we were subjected from 2009 to 2017, by those who governed this state, we are not willing to return to these scenarios, so this May 25, when you go to vote, you will surely be voting for peace, for employment, security, for the right to education, sports, health and our cultural expressions,” Serrano said from the Petare dome.

He also reiterated his commitment to the Mirandino People and to the Popular Power as a management formula from the governing body of the entity.

“We are not here to improvise a government in the state of Miranda, because the decisions that the People make will be sent to us who are going to be passionately working for the People, determined to achieve the happiness of all its inhabitants,” he said.

He stressed that although the extreme right and the oligarchies have subdued the Mirandino people, they have been able to resist and overcome imperialist violence and sanctions.

“We have done a lot with little, that's why we have won victories in every area of the territories of Miranda State, you understand that this May 25 you are not only electing a governor of the state, you are electing 68 colleagues who go to the National Assembly and also to the Legislative Council, a group of courageous, loyal men and women committed to Popular Power,” he said.

Serrano stressed that with unity, struggle and daily battle during this campaign they have been able to guarantee a great victory for the Mirandino people.
“We have seen the faces of our people, we have listened to the recommendations of our grandparents, we have heard the recommendations of our mothers, we have also heard the aspirations of our young people and we have seen that this campaign has not been about fences, it has not been about platforms but about contact with our people,” he said.
