The bonuses, bagpipes and the holiday cheer arrived in Charallave, Miranda state, with the first lighting of Christmas in Plaza Cristóbal Rojas.

Mayor Humberto Marte began this tradition, where families from the jurisdiction share the joy of this date. “We are surrounded by children, by the family, in this first lighting of Christmas,” he said.

Cristóbal Rojas Square was adorned with a large tree, full of lights, and there are also many images alluding to the season so that all families can take pictures and have a good time full of Christmas warmth.

Christmas began in Venezuela and on the Valles del Tuy axis on October 1, as instructed by President Nicolás Maduro.

In Charallave, there are three lights, one in Plaza Cristóbal Rojas, another in Plaza Bolívar and the third in the Santa Rosa de Lima network.

Regarding this day, Marte reiterates that to date more than 100 public spaces are being renovated for the good life of the inhabitants. “They are spaces for well-being, for sharing, for the family,” added the mayor.

He added: “Not only does it smell of Christmas in Venezuela, but this beautiful season of encounter, fraternity and recognition has also arrived (...) Under the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro, we are going to have an extraordinary and excellent Christmas of love.”
