Miranda won four medals on the last day of karate do at the 2025 Community Games

Miranda state won two gold and two bronze medals on the last day
of karate at the 2025 Municipal National Sports Games, in the
Bolivarian Dome of Valera, Trujillo state.
In the women's -47 kilogram
kumite, Karlys Machado (Miranda) climbed to the top
of the podium, accompanied by Paula Matute (Carabobo) in second place, while Alice Marcano (Anzoátegui) and Mhia Toro (Caracas)
who shared the bronze.
For her
part, in the +47 kg category, Antonieta Angiolillo (Portuguese) won
gold with a solid performance, Valeria Chacón won the silver medal, and bronze was divided between Williannis Aparicio
(Bolivar) and Miranda Padrón (Aragua).
In the -45 kg
division, Derek Marquina (Lara) took the ultimate honor. The second
place went to Niger Quiroga (Portuguesa), while the third place
was shared by Joher Rojas (Amazonas) and Aaron Rodríguez (Miranda).
The Mirandina
delegation dominated the karate do competition with a total of two
golds and two bronzes (4), followed by Lara with one gold, three silver and one bronze
(5), and Carabobo with one gold, three silver and one bronze (5).
