This week, the Sonrisa Mission registered 48,872 patients treated in Yaracuy state, after 12 years of operation in the entity, as confirmed this Tuesday by the Secretary General of Government, Juan Torrealba.

As reported by the newspaper Última Noticias, Torrealba mentioned that, in addition to the facilities and equipment suitable for treating patients, there is a dedicated and trained staff to assist in the different services, both adults and children.

“The Bolivarian Government very responsibly continues to move forward with this great project of Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez and which President Nicolás Maduro is promoting, despite economic difficulties, to ensure smiles to all the people without distinction,” he stressed.

He reported that to receive care they only have to come to the headquarters of Misión Sonrisa, located in an annex of the central hospital of San Felipe “Plácido Daniel Rodríguez Rivero”, where they will be received to schedule their appointments.

In mayors and with UBCHs, support can also be requested, depending on the priorities and agendas established for the care days.

For her part, the coordinator of the Smile Mission in the entity, Milena Gómez, highlighted that on the last day, last weekend, 70 prostheses were installed, reaching a record number of 4,872 prostheses.

“The Smile Mission offers comprehensive management with the care of pathologies and prosthetic rehabilitation, all free of charge,” he said.
