This Tuesday, the representative of Uganda to the United Nations (UN), Richard Nduhuura at the General Assembly, denounced the criminal blockade of the United States (USA) against the Republic of Cuba, on behalf of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries (MNOAL).
The MNOAL once again reiterates its rejection of “the imposition of unilateral coercive measures, which are not authorized by the corresponding organs of the United Nations and which contravene the principles of international law, and is not in line with the Charter of the United Nations”.
He assured that these measures contradict the principles of the multilateral trading system and are used as tools to exert political, economic and financial pressure against different states, but in particular, when it comes to developing countries.
“Cuba's transactions in third countries are prohibited and this has especially pernicious effects,” said Uganda regarding the financial and commercial blockade that the United States has maintained against Cuba for more than 60 years
