Monagas SC announced the Ecuadorian Octavio Zambrano as its technical director for the 2026 season in the Venezuelan Football League (FUTVE League) and the South American Cup.

Through a statement published on their social networks, the Azulgrana team highlighted that the experienced 67-year-old coach has a solid and recognized career “to promote our sports project”.

Zambrano managed the Canadian national team between 2017 and 2018, in addition to leading the benches of teams such as LA Galaxy, El Nacional and Independente Medellín, his most recent work in the Salvadoran FAS in 2023.

The Ecuadorian coach comes to replace Enrique García, who had a fleeting stint with the Oriental team during the 2025 Clausura Tournament.
