“There is no evidence, but rather a repetition of inconsistencies in the hope of confusing and creating a space that allows aggression,” said Moncada

The permanent representative of Venezuela to the United Nations (UN), Samuel Moncada, said that “the masks have fallen off today, and all the excuses to poison public opinion are met with the cruelty of senior officials of the United States government, who announce that the real objective is not drugs or security, nor freedom: it's oil, it's the mines, it's the land of Venezuela.”

In that regard, he emphasized that “there is no evidence, but rather a repetition of inconsistencies in the hope of confusing and creating a space that allows aggression.”

During the Emergency Session requested by Venezuela in the Security Council of the United Nations (UN), to evaluate U.S. aggressions, he argued that “in the face of the failure of all previous attempts, some political groups in the United States need a justification for the direct use of armed force.”

Moncada stated that “these narratives tested by the propaganda machine have been changing, incoherent and, above all, false”.

For this reason, he stressed that “they have initiated a hate attack against all Venezuelans, who have been designated as enemies, foreign invaders and terrorists, members of the supposed Aragua Train, and their presence in the United States has been declared to be incompatible with the security of that country.”

He said that “each of our compatriots has been stigmatized as drug traffickers, also stating that, for the most part, they are dangerous criminals who escaped from prisons and psychiatric hospitals.”

“This is a xenophobic and racist campaign. This is a classic example of war propaganda,” he said.
