The permanent representative of Venezuela to the United Nations (UN), Samuel Moncada, reported that the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) allocated 50 million dollars to bypass the Venezuelan Electoral System on July 28.

During a regular session of the National Assembly (AN), Moncada specified that this USAID budget was distributed in several sections, including creating a system to usurp the functions of the National Electoral Council (CNE), a campaign to generate media war, among others.

“The United States Government paid for everything; it's an assault on Venezuelan institutions such as the CNE to obey local agents,” he said.

In this regard, he accused that the matrix of this interventionist plan is due only to Washington's interests.

“It seems like it was something local, but it was all part of a strategy on the part of the United States,” he emphasized.

“This type of operation was used in Serbia, Georgia, in Kyrgyzstan. We are undergoing a psychological operation and the Southern Command is behind it. In the military field, war is fought on simultaneous battlegrounds, these are combined operations.”
