More than 130 young people start a new edition of the Community Horizon Course

With enthusiasm and firm revolutionary conviction, more than 130 young people from 11 states of the country gathered at the headquarters of the National Training School of the Community Union, located in the heart of the Socialist Commune of El Maizal, to begin the training course “Community Horizon”.

For 10 days of intense days, they will share knowledge with the Movement of Landless Rural Workers of Brazil (MST), as well as with representatives of the Ministry of Popular Power for Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture.

The methodology combines theory with militant practice: the participants are integrated into productive livestock work, which incorporates volunteer work as an essential part of the educational process. The management is made up of young community members who, after having lived the experience of the “Community Horizon” course, assumed the commitment to training new generations.

Promoted by the recent National Popular Consultation for Youth, participants arrive with proposals, creative force and will for change. Each commune becomes a living classroom and each young person a bearer of rebellion, conscience and hope. In El Maizal, a new phase of political formation is flourishing, which is committed to the country from below and with its feet on the ground.
