More than 13,000 CANTV subscribers in the Capital Region recovered voice and data services

During January 2025, CANTV restored fixed telephone and Internet services to more than 13,000 subscribers in the Capital Region (Caracas, Miranda, La Guaira), after resolving faults in networks and transmission media, due to deterioration, theft and vandalism, damage caused by third parties, weather conditions, and other factors.
According to a note from the telephone company, the action allowed telecommunications to be restored to nearly 5,300 homes and businesses in Caracas; in Miranda, around 7,300 subscribers were served, while in La Guaira, approximately 900 families were served.
The tasks carried out by the technical staff included: maintenance of networks and transmission equipment, replacement of cables, strips, terminal sleeves, connectors, reconstruction of splices and the testing of telephone lines.
