The governor of the state of Aragua, Karina Carpio, reported that the Regional Ophthalmological Center has treated 1,612 patients so far this year in the state.

“My congratulations to all that work team that has been accompanying us. We are already going into three years of regional government and there is not a day that we do not work for the health of our grandparents and grandmothers. We will continue working to get them to recover their vision, and the most important thing is the faith that we always talk about,” said Carpio.

He stressed that this is possible thanks to the government policies implemented by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.

In its speech, the entity's highest authority also reported that the cumulative total number of surgeries performed to date amounts to a total of 3,412, according to a press release from the Government of Aragua.
