More than 20 primary health centers recovered in Anzoátegui

More than 20 health centers in the primary care network have been rehabilitated during 2024 in the state of Anzoátegui, Governor Luis José Marcano reported, this Wednesday, October 9.

The regional president indicated that among the rehabilitated units, the Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI) and the Popular Clinics (CP) stand out, while “we have just exceeded 50 million dollars administered by the government over the course of this year, and from there 35% have gone to public health.”

Marcano explained that in the CDI and CP, he has focused on strengthening the primary network with the concept of paying attention to the territories most distant from the capital city.

He mentioned that a hospital was recently inaugurated in the town of El Chaparro, McGregor municipality, and that the major health infrastructure project for next year is the construction of the Guanipa hospital.
