More than 250 grandparents were cared for on a full-time basis in Caricuao

As part of the relaunch of the Grandmothers and Grandparents Mission of the Fatherland (GMAAP), a Great Day of Comprehensive Health was held for adults and older adults, at the facilities of the Dr. Quintero Quintero Residential Service Center, located in the UD1 sector of Caricuao, Capital District.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Health, more than 250 older adults were treated and care was offered in services such as Ophthalmology, General Medicine, Internal Medicine, the delivery of prescription and preventive medications, barbering services, manicures, and others.

“Seven communes and 5 circles of older adults participated; we are going to serve grandparents by parish and by circuit,” said Health Minister Magaly Gutiérrez Viña, who led the day.

In the same way, he added that every Wednesday there will be comprehensive health days aimed at older adults.
