More than 2,600 officials protect the safety of seasonal workers in Nueva Esparta

More than 2,600 officials from the different State security forces are still deployed in Nueva Esparta to protect the seasoners who visit the 39 beaches suitable for that entity.

This was confirmed by the Deputy Minister of Public Security, General Endes Palencia Ortiz, who oversaw the deployment in Playa El Agua, one of the region's main tourist destinations.

“We are here together, in a popular, military and police fusion (...) the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, the organs of Citizen Security and the People's Power are working in an integrated manner in this special plan,” said the vice-minister in statements replicated by the newspaper Úlmas Noticias.

The operation not only includes surveillance tasks, but also recreational activities coordinated by the Ministry of Sports and other government entities. “We have recreational teams, prevention teams and comprehensive care to guarantee the peace and happiness of our people,” added the Deputy Minister.

Nationwide, of the 636 beaches evaluated, 510 were declared suitable for enjoyment, while 126 did not meet safety requirements.
