More than 3,000 female chefs from La Patria will be trained weekly in food management

Last Friday, February 14, from the auditorium facilities of the Fermín Toro Educational Complex in Caracas, training began on food handling and school gardens, aimed at the Chefs and Chefs of the Homeland, said the Deputy Minister of Facilities and Logistics, Willian Gil.

“We are going to train more than 70,000 mother cooks across the country, in 10-course weekly sessions to strengthen the Corporation,” said the president of the National School Food Corporation (CNAE).

According to a note from the Education portfolio, this training process is being carried out simultaneously in 10 states of the national territory: Anzoátegui, Apure, Carabobo, Caracas, Falcón, Lara, Guarico, Mérida, Táchira, Zulia, providing extensive training to more than 3,000 chefs and chefs from La Patria weekly.

On February 6, Education Minister Héctor Rodríguez announced that more than 72,300 cook mothers and fathers would begin this training process aimed at promoting planting spaces and the correct handling of food in schools.

“Training is necessary to create a seed bank, school gardens and fruit forests to produce products according to the scale of each institution, its needs and its reality,” Rodríguez said at the time.
