More than 450 drug trafficking aircraft were disabled by the Bolivarian Government in 2024 in Venezuelan territory.

The information was given by the national anti-drug superintendent, M/G Danny Ferrer Sandrea, regarding the institution's 4th anniversary.

“This is how we should be: decisive in our actions. But also firm in prevention and guidance,” said Ferrer, adding that this type of action against drug trafficking is a responsibility of the Bolivarian Government and the people to achieve “the solution of the problem.”

“He added that since Commander Hugo Chávez expelled the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) from Venezuela in 2005, the nation's authorities have always achieved seizures that exceed 30% of drugs confiscated in previous years, while more than 170 “drug lords” and members of criminal structures have been placed under the command of national and international bodies,” reported the Ministry of Internal Relations of Justice and Peace.
