More than 50 Venezuelans are invited to Major League Baseball Spring Training and will have the opportunity to get a team in the Big Tent.
At least 30 major league teams have at least one Venezuelan player on the roster of 40 or one guest for spring training in 2025, according to the Extrabase website.
One of the most Venezuelan teams invited to spring training is the New York Yankees with six players, Carlos Carrasco, Cristian Hernández, Erick Leal, Leonardo Pestana, Wilking Rodríguez and Omar Martínez.
For their part, the Los Angeles Angels are in second place with five guests, Juan Flores, Dario Laverde, Sebastián Rivero, Yolmer Sánchez and Nelson Rada.
For their part, for the New York Mets and the San Diego Padres, they will have four Venezuelans each, the Metropolitans will have José Azocar, Adbert Alzolay, Yonny Hernández and Rafael Ortega, while the Friars will have Bradgley Rodríguez, Harold Chirino, Ethan Salas and Yonathan Perlaza.
Also noteworthy is the presence of: Harold Castro, who was one of the candidates for Most Valuable Player, who has a minor league contract and is invited with the Kansas City Royals; Ildemaro Vargas, the captain and MVP of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League Final with the Lara Cardinals and is invited with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
