More than 600 UBCH in Barinas nominated Nicolás Maduro as a candidate for presidential elections

The ranks of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) in Barinas state demonstrated their strong support for the president, Nicolás Maduro; as a candidate for the next presidential elections to be held on July 28 of this year.
In the participatory exercise of assemblies, a total of 666 Bolívar Chávez Battle Units (UBCH) from the 56 parishes in the region met to nominate the current president.
During three intense days, 666 UBCH meetings, 2,321 community meetings and more than 9,000 street meetings were held across the state. These instances allowed PSUV militants to debate, consult and ultimately nominate Maduro as the party's sole candidate for the upcoming elections.
The HUBCH highlighted the superhuman effort that President Maduro has made in the midst of a context marked by international blockades and sanctions that have affected the nation, and they also recognized his leadership, commitment and dedication to the defense of the sovereignty and continuity of the Bolivarian Project initiated by Commander Hugo Chávez.
The consultation and nomination of the single presidential candidacy of the PSUV in Barinas fulfilled 100% the task guided by the National Directorate of the Party, in an exercise of participatory democracy that strengthens the unity and internal cohesion of the political organization. This process demonstrates the commitment of the rank and file to the Bolivarian Revolution and the will to move towards new electoral victories.
With a total of massive and enthusiastic participation, the militants reaffirmed their commitment and their trust in the President's leadership, to continue building a prosperous and sovereign future for Venezuela.
