The Minister of Popular Power for Education, Héctor Rodríguez, commented on the organization of the Chefs and Chefs of the Homeland movement, which exceeds 62,000 throughout the country.

“There are more than 62,000 mothers and fathers, some of them present here at this event in connection with World Food Day and others because of the number connected by videoconference throughout the country,” said Minister Rodríguez.

He added that this is one of the four social movements that direct educational policy, together with the Bolivarian Student Organization, the Federation of Middle Education Students and the newborn Bolivarian Movement of Teachers.

Rodríguez recalled that the Mothers Cook movement was born from the National School Food Corporation (CNAE), a policy forged by the Revolution.

Minister Rodríguez took the opportunity to comment that 171,000 proposals were generated at the grassroots level after days of debate in the movement of mothers and fathers cooks. The process culminated in the election of 16,897 female spokespersons in the country.
