More than 90,000 people attended the agricultural and gastronomic exhibitions at the Expoferia Agropecuaria Miranda 2024, held between March 20 and 24 in the Bolivar de La Carlota Park, Sucre municipality in the state of Miranda.

The information was provided by the Secretary of Food of the Government of Miranda, Miguel Marín, who highlighted that there was a massive participation of several commercial firms of primary producers and the entire marketing chain of 14 states associated with sheep, goats, buffalo and cattle farming.

In a press release published on the website of this state body, Marín stated that “it became known about the projection of genetic advances that the herd has had at the national level.”

In this regard, he explained that “compared to the first fair in 2022, there has been a growth of more than 20% in the sheep, goat and buffalo sectors alone, more than 3,700,000 buffaloes are being produced. On average per year, 1,500,000 animals of this species guarantee meat for consumption.”

He added that commercial agreements and exchanges were made between producers, and that more than 70% of the products presented are made in the state of Miranda.

“Finished products such as powdered goat and buffalo milk, which did not exist, were exhibited and were launched by two commercial houses. There were also gastronomic circuits and gastronomic schools, firms and restaurants,” he said.
