This Sunday, October 5, more than a thousand women joined the “We Are All Roses Walk” in the city of Caracas, with the purpose of raising awareness about the prevention and early detection of breast cancer.
This event organized by the Ministry of Women and Gender Equality and the Ministry of Popular Power for Health started from Plaza Caracas and culminated in the Parque de Los Caobos, where various sports activities were held.
During the day, women called for healthy habits to counteract the development of this disease. At the same time, they expressed the importance of self-examination in order to diagnose cancer early.
The day was accompanied by the Minister for Women, Yelitze Santaella, who, through her account on the social network Instagram, highlighted the beauty of this day “for life, health and, above all, for us”.
“Let's remember that together we are stronger. Let's take a moment to do the self-examination, because when we protect ourselves, we defend life and build a stronger homeland,” he said.
