The Public Ministry (MP) has received and dealt with 1,336 cases related to bullying, according to information published on the web portal of the newspaper Úlmas Noticias.

During the forum “Prevention of bullying, viral challenges and how to prevent them”, the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, specified that bullying has been minimized as “stalking”, when in reality it must be considered a serious problem that can have negative consequences for victims.

He also added that in February, 274 people were intoxicated from educational institutions in La Guaira, Aragua, Barinas, Monagas, Cojedes and Portuguesa. “In most cases, the victims are adolescents between 9 and 15 years old and in some institutions teachers and administrative staff are registered among those affected.”

With regard to “intoxicated people in the states of Portuguesa, Barinas, Monagas and Aragua have presented the same symptoms and no cause has been determined, so the authorities are investigating the causative agent of the symptoms,” the newspaper reported.

While in La Guaira, it was determined that they were “gummies” that young people consumed and in Cojedes it was a challenge faced by schoolchildren to consume Vitafer-L with soda, which caused them to be poisoned.
