The Head of Government of the Capital District (GDC), Nahum Fernández, accompanied by the spokespersons and spokespersons of the communal councils and communes of the Los Telares sector, in the Caricuao parish, inaugurated three communal projects chosen in the last National Popular Consultation, with the construction of a multipurpose sports court, a children's playground and the total reconstruction of the Beiker Lara Socialist Mission Base.

These spaces, built and rebuilt with labor from the community itself, were built on land that was left vacant due to a landslide.

The community decided to allocate the budgets ordered by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to rebuilding the site and making it functional, with all the guarantees for its enjoyment by the residents.

Speaking to Venezolana de Televisión, Fernández stated that the Mission Base, where the Antonio José de Sucre Community House is located, will serve more than 8,000 people of all ages, to offer health, food, education, youth area, rooms for the elderly, recreation and sports, among others, completely free of charge.

Fernández warned that if the right wing had the political power of the Venezuelan State, these spaces would not exist, and if they were to build it, access to their services would be subject to prohibitive rates.

He explained that the community itself chose the projects it needed as a priority, put in the workforce and enthusiasm, and the resources that could have been used for a single project, served to build a children's playground, the multipurpose court and rehabilitate the Socialist Mission Base.

“Popular wisdom and community builders, in the middle of the neighborhood, to benefit the people, because only the People save the people,” he said.

“May the People's Power take possession of its spaces,” Fernández concluded, as he took off the opening tapes and taking tours of the new areas for the people.
