The head of government of Caracas, Nahum Fernández, from the José Joaquín Papá Carrillo Gymnasium, in Miranda state, where a Christian concert was held attended by about 5,000 evangelicals, assured that the Venezuelan capital was a territory of praise and peace in these holy days.

“The Christian church has implemented several events in this Major Week. The national pastoral movement commemorates the life and work of Jesus. Today, Glory Saturday, we see young people singing to honor our Lord Jesus Christ at this worship concert, where hundreds of thousands of people have mobilized,” Fernández said.

He added that on Friday, during the visit to the temples, we had the presence of approximately 400,000 people in Caracas.

“Already on Sunday, we completed the agenda for this Safe Holy Week with various religious activities, where the Last Supper will be commemorated with celebrations in all evangelical Christian churches,” said the Caracas authority.

Glory Saturday

Glory Saturday was the name given to this event, which brought together more than three thousand parishioners on a day of meditation and worship. The activity, free of charge, was carried out as part of the Holy Week holiday, with the participation of Christian dance and music groups.

The concert was attended by international guests, including the group Kairo Worship, who led a moment of adoration with songs and reflections on the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.

The pastoral band formed by the movement of worshipers of Mir anda and Caracas also took the stage, where performances were offered that reaffirmed the message of faith and hope. Attendees were able to participate in songs and prayers, in order to strengthen the sense of communion during the Major Week.

In addition to music, the importance of this type of meeting for the community is that it seeks to promote spaces for reflection and celebration in a safe and organized environment. The activity is part of the program of religious events held in the region during Holy Week.
