“We don't want guardianship. We don't want to be governed by a foreign power. We solve the problems of Venezuelans among Venezuelans,” said Nahum Fernández, vice president of Mobilization and Events of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) during the “Let's Win Peace, Defend Life” march on Monday.

indicated that the mobilization is aimed at demanding the cessation of the aggression of the U.S. government against Venezuela and the Caribbean.

“This people has been convened from yesterday to today, and here we are, in hundreds of thousands, to send our message to the world: we are a people of peace, full of love, tireless fighters for freedom and national independence,” he said.

He denounced the false flag strategy and disinformation campaigns that seek to justify military intervention against the Venezuelan people.

“They have insisted on lying to the world, on placing decoys to activate war actions. But this town is clear: we are going to fight for peace, for family, for life,” he said.

Fernández also emphasized that broad sectors of the country, including opposition figures, supported the call for dialogue. “94% of Venezuelans reject war. We want peace to grow, for our children, for the economy to develop. We are not going to allow ourselves to be dragged into an armed conflict,” he stressed.

He concluded with a call for national unity: “To be Venezuelan is to feel the pain of your people in your chest and go out and defend them.”
