The Secretary of Street Mobilization of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nahum Fernandez, stressed that President Nicolás Maduro boosted food production in Venezuela and managed to activate this sector, which has great potential in the country

During the great march of the Peasant Movements, in Caracas, he asserted that the level of food imports into Venezuela was very high and the peasants began to work together with President Nicolás Maduro in the country's Agrifood Engine.

“We began to see in the states of Cojedes, Yaracuy, Lara, Guárico, Portuguesa, Aragua and Miranda there were men and women dedicated to planting and who were producing in the country,” Fernández added.

He also asserted that large corporations wanted to bring food to the Venezuelan people, but President Maduro proposed the replacement of imports and domestic production began to reemerge.
