Nahun Fernández: The People are making history with their determination to exercise their right to vote

The vice-president of Mobilization and Events of the United Socialism Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nahum Fernádez, said that the participation of the People in regional elections confirms the validity of Venezuelan democracy, “an example for the world.”

“Today the one who went to vote is part of the story we are writing with our vote,” he said in the Caricuao parish, where he went to his polling station to exercise his right to vote.

In this regard, he said that given the determination of the communities, to participate in the elections, despite the difficulties generated by the rains in some areas of the country, “we are making history”.

He highlighted the wide participation of the Venezuelan people who have exercised their right to vote with enthusiasm and determination, rejecting the policies promoted by fascism and the extreme right.

Fernández emphasized that citizens have responded peacefully by sending a strong message against violence by extremist sectors.

“It has been a truly impressive day, where we have witnessed how our people have organized and mobilized, displaying a show of strength and love for the Fatherland,” he reiterated.

He added that “while the sectors of the right seek to besiege our stability through acts of violence, the People have responded decisively and peacefully on this election holiday at the national level.”
