This Tuesday, the National Assembly (AN) unanimously approved an agreement that rejects the theft of CITGO Petroleum Corporation, carried out by the United States Government together with the leaders of the Venezuelan right.
Pedro Infante, first vice-president of the Parliament and president of the special commission that investigated the case, indicated that those responsible include María Corina Machado, Edmundo González Urrutia, Juan Guaidó, Julio Borges, Henry Ramos Allup, Carlos Vecchio, José Ignacio Hernández and Leopoldo López.
The parliamentarian said that Venezuela will defend its rights to CITGO with national unity, together with President Nicolás Maduro and the government team.
Infante reiterated the request for the application of the law to extinguish the domain, as part of the proposal that reflects the rejection of the Venezuelan people to the dispossession of the oil subsidiary by Washington and sectors of the opposition.
The commission specified that 351 people are involved in the expropriation process, including 94 former deputies of the so-called “Assembly in a state of contempt”, 108 people who held positions in parallel structures and 149 members of non-governmental organizations funded by the Simon Bolivar Foundation, affiliated with CITGO.
