The National Electoral Commission called on all Venezuelans over 15 years of age to vote in the second National Popular Consultation to be held next Sunday, August 25.
Ana María Cabrera, member of the commission and spokesperson for the Commune United for the Giant of the Miranda state, at a press conference from the Ministry for Communes and Social Movements, said: “All the Venezuelan people over 15 years of age are called to popular participation on Sunday.”
Next Sunday, a project will be elected with the vote, in each of the 4,505 communal circuits or communes across the country, one project among seven candidates in community council meetings.
Cabrera explained that, for this election, with the support of the National Electoral Council (CNE), a voting center will be set up for each communal circuit or commune within its own territory.
“This is a popular, communal election. The CNE is involved in operational and logistical support,” explained the Mirandina community member.
