National Executive published new declarations as an Asset of Cultural Interest

The Ministry of Popular Power for Culture (MPPC), through the Institute of Cultural Heritage (IPC), made official the declaration of various elements of Venezuelan cultural heritage as an Asset of Cultural Interest, as published in Official Gazette No. 43,127 dated May 14, 2025.
These actions seek to safeguard and promote the cultural manifestations that constitute the identity and historical memory of the nation.
Highlighted statements:
- Musical group “Los Hijos de Ña Carmen — El Ritmo con Sabor a Pueblo”: Recognized as a social institution of the Intangible Cultural Heritage for its significant works that promote, disseminate and rescue traditional Venezuelan, popular and danceable music.
- The trajectory of Venezuelans whose knowledge, knowledge, practices and techniques enrich the country's cultural heritage was recognized. It includes the master clay artisans of the state of Falcón.
- The audiovisual and radio documents that are recorded on social communication networks and media, as well as the testimonies of political actors and protagonists of the events that occurred on April 11, 12, 13 and 14, 2022, and the letter from Commander Hugo Chávez Fría were written during his captivity, denying his resignation from the presidency.
- Teresa Bolívar's house: Recognized for its symbolic and referential value in San José de Tiznados, Guárico state, as a testimony to the legacy of Teresa Jesús Bolívar and her contribution to the community.
- Don Felipe Tovar Tamunangue School Foundation: Declared for its outstanding educational work in the transmission of knowledge related to the manifestation of the intangible cultural heritage Sones de Negro/Tamunangue.
- Sextet Juventud: Musical group recognized for its artistic career of more than six decades, contributing to the national and international Afro-Caribbean musical work.
- Town of Tourism: Declared an Asset of Intangible Cultural Interest of the Nation for its diversity of oral traditions, customs, knowledge and expressions that constitute a living and unique heritage.
These declarations reflect the commitment of the Venezuelan State to the preservation and promotion of its cultural heritage, ensuring that future generations can know and value these manifestations that define national identity.
