National glass industry refines mechanisms to increase exports

The Industrial Chamber of Glass, Ceramics, Refractories and Related Industries (Cinvicre) reported that the union is exploring mechanisms to improve the sector's export capacity and considered that this could be an opportunity to increase production. For this reason, they hope to coordinate actions with the National Executive and submit offers.

The president of Cinvicre, Víctor Flores announced that actions have already been taken, such as the installation of working tables in conjunction with the Ministry of Industry and Production, in which issues such as improvements in access to raw materials and financing have been addressed.

Flores explained that this industry also covers several productive sectors, including automotive and construction, so he sees opportunities for greater growth.

However, he also mentioned that both fiscal and exchange aspects have affected the cost structure of companies in the sector, he said in an interview.
