From February 10 to April 10, a great day is taking place in the twelve municipalities of the state of Barinas to achieve the application of more than 63,000 vaccines and prevent diseases in children.

According to a note from the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), during the conference, held in schools, health centers, communities and public spaces, vaccines are applied: injectable polio (IPV), pentavalent, toxoid and yellow fever for children from two months to 8 years of age.

The State Coordinator of the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI), Floricel Castillo, said: “We will find the target population in educational institutions, we already had a meeting with the Educational Zone where they taught the lines so as not to have any problems when the basic equipment arrives to do the approach inside the campuses.”

He explained that the program enabled 263 vaccination points across the 54 parishes of Barinas to serve all children in the region.

He pointed out that the goal is to guarantee the constitutional right to health and to have healthy children who grow up strong and happy in every plain household.
