In the framework of the 30th anniversary of the release of Commander Hugo
Chávez from the Prison of Dignity, this Tuesday the president of the
Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, praised the soldiers who
accompanied the Supreme Leader of the Revolution in the rebellion of February 4, 1992.
“As an ordinary man, a humble man, I never
aspired to any position, I never thought of going to any position and from day one
I felt in my heart, from the streets of Caracas, the pride that you
existed and paved the way, turned on the light for the 21st century,
we are proud of you,” said the head of state from Yare.
He also pointed out that since the Commander was
released, it has been “30 years of renewing ourselves, updating ourselves and overcoming every
situation, every moment, growing, truly building, without marketing. Imperialist right-wing governments don't
have to come and say this or that, no!” , he emphasized.
“We have made ourselves out of the mud of the dignity of a people; of their conscience, of their spirit, of their rebellion and we have rescued the most
beautiful and precious ideal in the history of humanity, which is the ideal of Simon
Bolivar, the Liberator of America, to burn to the oligarchs, to whatever
last names they are, to burn to imperialism,” he said.
