This Monday, during his program With Maduro+, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the consensus that has developed in rejection of the aggressions of the United States (USA) against the country.
“A powerful consensus has been established for our right to peace and to life,” he highlighted while extolling the recent statement signed by Venezuelan journalists of various political persuasions who reject Venezuela being converted into a territory of war.
“Journalists who have been antagonistic and who have different positions for and against the Bolivarian Revolution are expressed there, but all have united in one voice to demand respect for the sovereignty of Venezuela, demanding the right to peace and rejecting these attacks against vessels in the Caribbean,” he said.
The National President confirmed his willingness to join adverse sectors to demand respect from Venezuela.
“If it's about uniting Venezuela, all of Venezuela, and holding hands to ensure that there is peace in Venezuela, consensus is welcome! Let no one threaten Venezuela, Venezuela is a sacred territory,” he said.
He pointed out that in addition to these demonstrations by all the unions in the country, polls show that the rejection of foreign interference in Venezuelan affairs exceeds 94%, and “even reaches 98%.”
“The overwhelming majority of Venezuelans want peace and we want our sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity to be respected,” he said.
