The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, considered that the decision of the Congress of the Republic of Peru to approve the entry into its territory of armed troops of the United States, as well as the actions of the government of Ecuador, of Daniel Noboa, to allow the reinstallation of American military bases, is a real historic shame.
“That's what the coup against President Pedro Castillo was for. A shame, a real shame!” , said the Head of State, during his program Con Maduro+, broadcast number 65, in the Digital Zone segment.
“That's the model they want to apply from the United States. What is the model? the model of civil war in Venezuela, the model of supporting a coup d'etat in Peru, to bring in its troops, to take over Peru, to put an end to a moderately progressive government that it had, nationalist, that they had with Pedro Castillo,” he stressed.
He added that “quite simply, the coup d'etat was led by the same oligarchy and the Lima right, to advance what is the project of the American empire.”
“It's one question that leads us to an answer, and the answer leads to the other, too,” referring to the coup carried out in December 2022 by the current de facto president, Dina Boluarte.
In that regard, he recalled that 200 years after the sacrifice and victory of Junín and Ayacucho, where the Liberator Simon Bolivar and Grand Marshal Antonio José de Sucre, laid their blood for the freedom of Peru, “this lady Boluarte, in an undignified way, after having carried out the coup, handed over territory to the troops of the United States.”
He also mentioned the model that President Noboa is copying in Ecuador, to hand over the national territory for the purpose of reinstalling the military bases of Manta, once again, to the United States.
“It's simply a shame, it's a shame that it has no name and that they will pay for it, they will pay dearly the day there are elections in that country. You'll see,” he emphasized.
