The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported that the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) will summon TikTok representatives in Latin America to a face-to-face meeting, due to the death of three minors for participating in viral challenges promoted by the digital platform.

TikTok Latin America has sent a letter in response; for the first time, we have established a relationship. This must stop. If TikTok does not assume, we will take appropriate measures for the safety of young people. Rest assured that what the Supreme Court of Justice determines will be severely applied,” said the president.

In addition, the President assured that his pulse will not shake to implement the decision issued by the Supreme Court in relation to the social network in the country.

“Whatever the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court determines, my pulse will not shake to apply it severely because the priority is to defend the lives of children, education and youth. We are not blackmailed people, by good reason we are very good, by bad we are able to defend Venezuela... three children have already died”, reiterated the Head of State.
