National record! Isabella Zapata won the gold medal at the World Indoor Championship

Freediver Isabella Zapata won the gold medal in the junior category and set a national record in the monofin dynamics event (DNY) at the World Indoor Championships in Athens, Greece.
The Venezuelan won the gold medal in a distance of 162.5. The silver medal went to the Italian Valentina Paglione and the bronze medal to the Swiss Violante Giuntini.
For the national delegation, Samanta Díaz ranked eighth with a time of 6,48.55, in speed 8×50, in speed 2×50, in speed 2×50 he was sixth (44.31) and in 4×50 speed he achieved eleventh position with a national record of 2,27.41, according to Prensa Ministerio del Deporte.
Nicol Rivero finished ninth with a time of 6.58.06 in 8×50 speed, seventh in 2×50 speed (44.50) and thirteenth place in the 4×50 speed with 2.41.46.
For his part, Génesis González stopped the stopwatch at 47.23 to be eighth in the 2×50 speed and fourteenth in the 4×50 speed (3.03.969).
