National Surgical Plan began recruiting patients in La Guaira

A starting November 11, the National Surgical Plan will be launched in the state of La Guaira, with the goal of treating more than a thousand patients with low and medium complexity interventions.

La single health authority, Nelare Bermúdez, said that the operation will be carried out with the purpose of paying off the existing surgical debt in the entity.
“The idea is to be able to respond to the main surgical demands that our population has,” said Bermúdez, recalling that in previous editions, up to 1,400 surgeries have been achieved in a single plan.
Por for his part, Omar Bolívar, regional coordinator of the program, stressed that all operations will be completely free, guaranteed through the national public health system.
Se learned that to access the benefit, interested parties must attend the surgical consultations that will be activated this week at the different health centers in the state. It will not be mandatory to submit a previous medical report, although it is recommended to carry any existing diagnosis.
Las authorities called on Guaireños who require any of these interventions to approach hospitals and outpatient clinics now, to be evaluated and to be part of the free surgical plan.
