A total of 14
boys, girls and adolescents underwent surgery at the
Doctor
Marcial Hernández Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI), located in the Jesús Enrique Lossada municipality, Maracaibo.
In this regard, the first lady of Zulia, Roselyn López de
Caldera, specified that this day of the National Surgical Plan included
both medical consultations and examinations prior to the intervention, the
pre-operative period, surgical medical supplies and rigorous post-operative
care, “all at no cost to patients”.
In addition, he noted
that in the first semester of Governor
Luis Caldera's administration, 5,232 surgeries were performed on patients
of all ages with different pathologies and 238 on boys, girls and
adolescents.
It was also known that the patients treated came from the municipalities of Baralt, Padilla, San Francisco and Maracaibo.
