This Monday, October 13, the National Meeting of Youth in Action: Popular Government and 7 Transformations began with the participation of state directors from the country's 25 states, with the objective of participating in dialogue tables aimed at consolidating a common agenda.

The activity was led by the Minister of Popular Power for Youth, Sergio Lotartaro; the deputy to the National Assembly, América Pérez; the president of the Great Venezuela Youth Mission, Genesis Garvett; and the Secretary General of Youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (JPSUV), Grecia Colmenares.

During the day, Lotartaro highlighted the need to deploy in all sectors where young people work in social and communication matters. “We must take possession of spaces, stay in the territory with the people, listen to the proposals of the communities and humanize the needs of young people,” he said.

For her part, the deputy América Pérez affirmed that Venezuela is the epicenter of the great changes and transformations that the world is experiencing, at the same time she called for overcoming the cognitive war through popular mobilization.

In addition, Genesis Garvett recalled that Venezuelan youth are the first generation to assume the responsibility of promoting a revolutionary process. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of unity in the face of the political moment in Venezuela.

In the same way, Grecia Colmenares, stressed that youth leadership must undergo new organizational forms in terms of resistance. “We must focus on our range of action, know what we have to do and what we can contribute,” he said.

This meeting will take place until this Tuesday 14th and will then be extended throughout the country with the participation of only one youth.
