Nearly 5 thousand CANTV subscribers in Barinas access fiber optic services

The modernization of the CANTV telecommunications network in the state of Barinas makes it possible to offer fiber-optic services to nearly 5 thousand residential, commercial and public institution subscribers in different locations of the entity.

Technical and operational work is carried out in sectors of the city center of Barinas, the Alto Barinas parish and Socopó, where users have the Aba Ultra, Aba TV GO and IP Telephony services, on an infrastructure with greater capacity to meet current connectivity needs.

According to a press release, as part of these actions, CANTV performs the necessary technical tasks to enable an Ultra Zone in the emergency area of the Dr. Luis Razetti Hospital, which will allow family members of patients to access the Internet by scanning a QR code during their stay in the healthcare center.

In addition, the Network Modernization Plan has made it possible to build more than 20,000 optical ports in the state of Barinas, an infrastructure that favors the progressive expansion of the coverage of services supported by optical fiber.
