Néstor Reverol oversees asphalting work on the G/J Rafael Urdaneta bridge in Maracaibo

The president of the Corporation for the Development of the Zulian Region (Corpozulia), Néstor Reverol, inspected the asphalting works being carried out on the G/J Rafael Urdaneta bridge in Maracaibo.

“We are supervising and inspecting the asphalting work on the bridge over Lake Maracaibo. It is expected that 20,000 tons of asphalt will be placed on the bridge,” said Reverol, in a post on his account on the social network Threads.

He also stressed that with the comprehensive rehabilitation works of the G/J Rafael Urdaneta bridge, the commitments made with the people of Zulia are being fulfilled.

“We are in the last phase of asphalting. This impressive viaduct connects the entity with the rest of the country, it also integrates the Venezuelan economy with valuable agricultural regions in the west and south of the Lake Maracaibo basin,” he said.

The National Government is comprehensively rehabilitating the bridge over Lake Maracaibo, carried out maintenance work on the 134 batteries type A, B and C; all 384 guayas were reviewed and retained, and a sublacustrine survey was carried out by specialized divers.
